One of the best parts of living in a LIV Student accommodation is enjoying the special facilities and activities that are part of the Resident Experience.
Among the common areas, we have spaces where you can have fun and have a good time with your flatmates and friends of the accommodation. In addition, we periodically organise events for the residents to get together and have fun as a big family. We will tell you all the details below.
Fresh air on the terrace
Our student residences in Porto have a terrace equipped with chairs and tables for residents to enjoy the fresh air. This space is perfect for reading, meeting friends or just hanging out, especially during the evenings when the weather is cooler and the wind makes it more pleasant. There are also sun loungers for lounging and sunbathing.
At LIV Student Polo Universitário, you can also enjoy the rooftop terrace offering an excellent view of the city, as it is located on the highest part of the building.
Summers at the swimming pool
The swimming pool is one of the most popular places for residents to visit during the summer and spring, when the weather is warm and the mood for a dip is high.
Around the pool, you’ll also find chairs, tables and loungers for lounging, so even if you don’t feel like getting in the water, you can enjoy the atmosphere by sitting or lying on these pieces of furniture.
Like the terrace, the pool is a great place to meet up with friends, cool off from the heat, read a book and enjoy the fresh air.
Video game afternoons
Inside the building, you will have access to the multimedia room. This space is equipped with a large flat screen TV, armchairs, pouffes and tables, cushioned furniture and everything you need to spend an afternoon racing Mario Kart.
If you prefer to practice what you’ve learned with TikTok duets, you can also enjoy our karaoke room. Microphones, a menu of songs to sing and play, to have a good time with your friends from the accommodation.
This is a great way to enjoy Friday afternoons in the accommodation. Especially if you are bored with your flatmates.
Films in the cinema room
In the multimedia room, also known as the cinema room, you will have everything you need to watch a film with your friends in the accommodation. Comfortable chairs, good atmosphere, a big screen… You will feel just like in the cinema.
When you would like to watch a film in the cinema room, you only have to notify our reception staff so that they can prepare everything for your arrival, provide you with the TV remote control and offer you all the options available to choose your film.
Conversations in the cafeteria
If you are looking for a place to chat with your flatmates over a cup of coffee, the cafeteria is the place to be. Here you will have different tables and comfortable chairs to occupy with your friends. It’s not only a place to chat, but also a place to relax with your tablet or do some work on your laptop.
Exercise in the gym
Physical activity is great for maintaining a good mood. That’s why, among the common areas, we’ve included a gym and a yoga room. In the gym, you’ll find treadmills, free weights, strength equipment and other cardiovascular training equipment.
However, if you’re more into mindfulness, you’ll be happy to know that there are also balls and mats in the gym for you to do all kinds of routines. This room is open during the day and evening, so you can attend your workout before or after class.
Meetings in the social kitchen
The social kitchen is a place we have designed for you to hold meetings with your friends and flatmates. It is a good space for teamwork, conversation, planning activities and anything that involves collaborative work.
You can also organise small events, share snacks and watch TV with your friends and flatmates.
Laughter in the play area
If you want more fun and laughter, the play area is the ideal spot for you. It is the perfect place to have fun on Friday afternoons or weekends.
This area has a pool table, a football table and an air hockey table. There is also an arcade machine to play and challenge your friends to beat the records set.
Special activities
In the LIV Student accommodation, we hold special events and activities on a weekly basis throughout the year. The aim of these activities is not only to entertain the residents, but also to awaken a sense of community and help them get to know each other and make friends.
Living in our student accommodation, you won’t have to go far to have fun and enjoy yourself. We have thought of everything to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
