Steps to follow to reserve a room or unit (the “Unit”):

If you already know the prices and services of the selected Unit, start the booking process through our website, for which you must fill in the required data, attach your ID card/passport and proceed to sign the Accommodation Contract and Internal Regulations (the “Contract“) by means of a tick box that you will receive in your email account. 

Once the Contract has been signed, a link will be generated to pay the Booking Fee by credit card. At this point the unit will be considered booked. 

We will then send you, to complete the process, an email with a link to download, complete and sign the SEPA Document for the direct debit of payments. The signature of this document, within five (5) calendar days, is an essential condition for the validity of the Contract. Otherwise, the Contract will not come into force, no place will be reserved in the residence hall and the Booking Fee will not be reimbursed. 

If you are a minor, both the Contract and the SEPA Document must be completed and signed by your parent or legal guardian.

If you are unable to provide the SEPA document, please call the Residence’s telephone number above and we will tell you how to proceed.

The deposit in accordance with the amount previously informed (the “Guarantee“), will be collected within thirty (30) calendar days following the signing of the Contract by direct debit to the bank account that appears in the SEPA Document, unless it has been previously paid by bank card at the Residence. 

In the event that you are going to stay at the Residence less than one month after signing the Contract, the Guarantee must be paid, within a maximum period of seven (7) calendar days from the signing of the Contract, by bank transfer to the VStudent account, which we will inform you of by email, unless it has been previously paid by bank card at the Residence.  

You must include your Entry ID+Resident Name+Guarantee in the concept of the transfer (the Entry ID is indicated in the heading of the Contract), and you must send the Residence an email with proof of the transfer, unless you have previously paid the Guarantee at the Residence by bank card. 

In the case of Residents who decide to renew their stay, it will be necessary to sign a new Contract. The Guarantee paid at the time will be applied in full to the new Contract once the current one has expired, and will therefore not be returned. The Guarantee in these cases must be for the amount informed. Therefore, if this amount is not reached, the rest will be paid together with the first monthly payment (one month before entering the Residence). 

The signing of the Contract, the SEPA Document, and the payment of the Booking Fee and the Guarantee, within the due period, is an essential condition for you to have a place in the Residence. Otherwise, there is no guarantee that you will have a place in the Residence Hall and this Booking Request may be automatically cancelled and without any effect, without the Booking Fee being refunded. 

When is the first instalment paid? 

The payment of the first monthly payment of your stay (First Monthly payment) will be debited from the current account indicated in the SEPA document one month before the start of your stay with us. 

In the event that you are going to stay at the Residence less than one month after signing the Contract, the amount of the First Monthly payment must be paid together with the Guarantee, within a maximum period of seven (7) calendar days from the signing of the Contract, by bank transfer to the VStudent account, which we will inform you of by email, unless it has been previously paid by bank card at the Residence.

You must include in the concept of the transfer your Entry ID+Resident Name+First Monthly payment (the Entry ID is indicated in the heading of the Contract), and you must send the Residence an email with proof of the transfer, unless you have previously paid the First Monthly payment at the Residence by bank card. 

When is the Booking Fee and the  Guarantee returned? 

  • If for academic reasons you have not obtained a place at the University of the city of the Residence or at a study centre of the same. In this case, you must provide us with the following documents within five (5) calendar days of this occurrence: (i) application for admission to the Universities of the city of the Residence; (ii) the letter of non-admission to the University of the city of the Residence or to the selected study centre; and (iii) the results sheet of the allocation of places (university pre-registration). 
  • If, as a non-EU foreigner, you do not obtain a visa to enter Spain. 
  • In case of the Guarantee, at the end of your stay at the Residence if you have fulfilled all your obligations, deducting €50 for the final cleaning of the Unit. 

The Booking Fee and the Guarantee is not returned in the following cases: 

  • If, having been admitted to study in the city of the Residence, you decide to study in another city and therefore do not wish to continue in the Residence. 
  • If you voluntarily resign from the awarded Unit from the signing of the Contract. 
  • In case of the Guarantee, if the aforementioned has had to be executed due to Resident’s non-performance.

In this case, you must provide us with the following documents within five (5) calendar days of this occurrence: (i) application for admission to the Universities of the city of the Residence; (ii) the letter of non-admission to the University of the city of the Residence or to the selected study centre; and (iii) the results sheet of the allocation of places (university pre-registration). 
  • If, as a non-EU foreigner, you do not obtain a visa to enter Spain. 
  • At the end of your stay at the Residence if you have fulfilled all your obligations, deducting €50 for the final cleaning of the Unit.

The Guarantee is not returned in the following cases:

  • If, having been admitted to study in the city of the Residence, you decide to study in another city and therefore do not wish to continue in the Residence. 
  • If you voluntarily resign from the awarded Unit from the signing of the Contract.
  • If the Guarantee has had to be executed due to Resident’s non-performance.

When you make a reservation / contract our services, your data will be included in LIV STUDENT’s file in order to manage your request and to centralise administrative and IT processes.

The legal basis that legitimises the processing of the data is the need to manage the pre-contractual relationship and/or execute the agreement.

The data will be kept for the duration of this agreement and, subsequently, for the legally required period in order to meet possible contractual liabilities.
