Student accommodation in Oporto: everything you need to know
Student accommodation in Oporto: everything you need to know

Living in a student accommodation is the preferred choice of many university students for many reasons. First of all, in the accommodation, they don’t have to take care of the cleaning of their rooms and they live surrounded by friends. This means less worries and a better lifestyle.

Secondly, they enjoy a privileged location close to the campus, which makes it easier for them to commute to and from the faculty. If you are thinking about living in a student accommodation, we will tell you everything you need to know before making your decision.

What is LIV Student accommodation?

What sets student accommodations apart from other student accommodation is that they are designed to meet the needs of today’s university students. We don’t just offer rooms and desks for studying, we focus on creating a more comfortable and enjoyable lifestyle for residents to live their best life.

In the LIV Student residences, you will find different accommodation options. Some individual accommodation where you will not have to share your space with other residents, and other shared accommodation that is more spacious and home to two or more students.

Among the single accommodations, you can choose from:

  • Individual studio: this consists of a room equipped with a double bed, desk, ergonomic chair, storage space, fully functional kitchen with microwave oven, small fridge and private bathroom.
  • Single room in a shared flat: this is a private room with a double bed, single bathroom and is part of a shared flat where you will be able to live with other residents. Unlike the previous alternative, this shared flat has a living room with a 40-inch TV and sofa, a fully functional kitchen with an oven-microwave, dishwasher, island and half a full fridge per resident.

Among the shared accommodation, we offer you these options:

  • Double studio: the main difference between the individual studio and the double studio is that the latter has two double beds and two study spaces with desk, ergonomic chair, note board and bookshelf each. In this accommodation, you will share a room with one other resident.
  • Double room in a shared flat: similar to the double studio, the double room in a shared flat has two double beds and two individual study spaces. This room is part of a shared flat equipped with everything we mentioned above and is shared between two students.

What to expect in student accommodation

A good student accommodation has comfortable facilities tailored to the needs of the students. In addition, it offers the basic services that facilitate the day-to-day life of the residents, and meets the demands for security and care that parents of young people are so interested in.

Here are some of the things you can expect from LIV Student accommodation:

Modern and comfortable furnishings

Because our student accommodation has been built in recent years, we have modern and comfortable furnishings that respond to current trends and tastes.

Students who are part of our community feel at home in a modern environment equipped with chairs, tables, beds and furniture of the latest design and top quality.

Facilities adapted to the student lifestyle

Today’s students don’t just want to come to the accommodation to sleep. They want to live in an environment they can enjoy, where they feel comfortable day and night. That’s why we have designed common areas for entertainment and leisure. Among them, we have:

  • Gym
  • Swimming pool
  • Study rooms
  • Multimedia room
  • Games area
  • Terrace
  • Social kitchen
  • And much more

You will have at your disposal a gym with supervised classes to exercise and maintain a good level of physical activity. So you won’t need to leave the accommodation to find some entertainment and you won’t feel disappointed with the accommodation you have chosen.

Services tailored to your needs

Students don’t usually have a lot of free time, so among the services we offer you can’t miss the room cleaning service. We also have an extra self-laundry service that is super easy to use.

Study-friendly atmosphere

The atmosphere of a good student accommodation in Porto should be conducive to study. In addition to having a space with a desk and ergonomic chair in your room, we have a study room shared between the common areas of the building. You will be able to go there to do homework, read or work on your laptop in silence.

On the other hand, we want the accommodation to remain a pleasant and comfortable place to study, so we set timetables so that residents are forbidden to play loud music in their rooms and make noises that may disturb others.

If you are looking for all this in a student accommodation, then you have found your ideal home at LIV Student.
